SHU Law recognises that the recent tide of change in the profession brought about by remote working will be impacting significantly upon the mental health of many members of the legal profession. Balancing home life with working life is challenging at the best of times for many professionals, let alone in the midst of a global pandemic.
LawCare is a registered charity that offers free confidential help and emotional support to all legal professionals, their support staff and their families.
Their trained staff and volunteers have first hand experience of working in the legal profession. They recognise that the culture and practice of law can have an impact on mental health and well-being.
If you are finding the current climate and all of the changes required to address covid-19 in your working practices difficult to cope with or indeed are facing other issues in your personal life such as bereavement or illness and you need to talk to someone you can call LawCare on 0800 2796888 or email support@lawcare.org.uk. If you urgently need to speak to someone outside of the helpline hours then you can call the Samaritans on 116123.
Please note that LawCare do not offer legal advice to the general public.
