In what has been an unprecedented year, thousands of court hearings have been replaced by virtual hearings, either via telephone or online.
Virtual hearings present their own, different, challenges, to in-person hearings. Some hearings take place with judges present in a court room whilst the parties and their witnesses dial in remotely; other hearings are remote for all involved. One thing is certain, we should expect to see more remote hearings for a while to come.
Is your small claims hearing going to be carried out remotely?
You may have concerns about this, and you may have questions about the hearing: how does a virtual hearing work? Do I need any particular software? What can I do to prepare?
