Ramadan is an exciting holy month for Muslims. During this month, many will fast from before sunrise to sunset. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the five core beliefs and practices of Islam. It is a time of spiritual reflection, developing self-control and helping those who are less fortunate amongst so much more!
Family, friends and communities will usually come together for iftar (evening meal at sunset) and the evening prayer is usually performed in congregation. The atmosphere of people coming together to celebrate is amazing!
We have created a poster with some key facts around why Muslims fast and how Muslim colleagues can be supported during this month, we hope you find this useful.
Wishing everyone celebrating a happy, healthy and rewarding Ramadan!
