SHU Law has a specific department that is dedicated to assisting clients with a range of prison law issues including:
  • Re-categorisation representations
  • Sentence progressions
  • Home Detention
  • General Complaints

To enable our students to develop their practical knowledge and understanding of prison law they work alongside legal academics on cases in order to advise clients of the firm.

We communicate with clients over the telephone and by letter in order to progress prison law matters which means that we rarely need to meet with clients. This enables us to provide a friendly and efficient service to those in need of our help.

Sadly, we cannot take on all matters involving prison law, in particular work involving the following:

  • Appeals
  • Parole Board Hearings
  • Adjudications

It is important that prospective clients do not send us their documents prior to us having first assessed their enquiry so that we can check if we can assist them.

If you would like to contact SHU Law then please use our enquiry form (link) or give us a call on 0114 256666. Alternatively, please write to us at SHU Law, 51-53 Broomgrove Road, Sheffield, S10 2NA.
