Today SHU Law was visited by Sir Michael Barber, the Chair of the Office for Students.
This was an important visit for the firm in helping us to establish our identity as a law firm which not only serves the needs of its clients but seeks to teach the lawyers of the future.
Sir Michael was keen to have a tour of our facilities and talk to the key university staff members, Sital Dhillon and Elizabeth Smart, who are responsible for the initiative that is SHU Law. We were able to spend some time with him discussing the benefits of keeping up to date with the developments in the legal profession and fusing this with the transferable employability skills that our students will need to move forward in their chosen career. We hope that Sir Michael and his colleagues will visit us again as SHU Law advances.
