Our criminal appeals department undertake all of the investigatory aspects associated with cases where there may have been a miscarriage of justice.

We review and scrutinise information provided by clients to ascertain if there is a need for further investigation to be carried out and, where appropriate, prepare the case for a thorough investigation into claims of innocence by alleged victims of a miscarriage of justice.

We  look for avenues to explore which may uncover fresh evidence that establish grounds for an appeal which could lead to the conviction being over-turned.

Depending on your individual case we may need to:

  •  visit the client in prison;
  •  liaise with solicitors and barristers;
  •  correspond with the police and CPS;
  •  liaise with forensic scientists and other stakeholders; and
  •  if deemed necessary, visit the crime scene.

If you think that you have been the victim of a  miscarriage of justice then please contact us on 0114 225 6666 or alternatively complete our enquiry form. We will be happy  to discuss your situation with you and assess whether we can help.
